DR Ray Cockerill
General Practitioner, MBBS, FSCCA
Dr Cockerill brings over 50 years of medical experience to the Geraldton community, with a longstanding passion for skin cancer care.
After many years working in the medical field, Dr Cockerill developed a strong focus on the detection and treatment of skin cancers. In 2007, he founded the Geraldton Mole & Skin Cancer Clinic, creating a dedicated centre for specialised skin cancer care in the region.
As his expertise grew, Dr Cockerill began performing more complex skin cancer procedures, offering patients both surgical and non-surgical treatment options tailored to their individual needs.
In 2014, he was awarded his Fellowship with the Australasian Skin Cancer College, further strengthening his commitment to best-practice care. Since then, he has focused his work on the early detection and treatment of skin cancers and precancerous lesions, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Cockerill is passionate about mentoring the next generation of doctors. He supervises GP registrars and medical students, sharing his extensive knowledge and skills in complex skin cancer management.

Dr Gaurav Kumar

Dr. Gaurav Kumar is a seasoned medical professional with a wealth of experience spanning over a decade, having contributed his expertise to numerous hospitals across Australia.
His primary areas of focus include skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, minor surgical procedures, as well as gynecology and obstetrics.
With a passion for these specialties, Dr. Kumar demonstrates a commitment to providing top-notch care to the residents of Geraldton and its surrounding communities.

Dr Elmarie Hofmeyr
General Practitioner, MChB, DCH, FRACGP
Fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners
Dr Elmarie Hofmeyr has worked as a General Practitioner for 7 years in Geraldton and is a Fellow of the Australian College of General Practitioners .
She looks after patients of all ages, is experienced in caring for patients with acute conditions and chronic illnesses. Although she looks after most aspects of general practice, her main focus at present is chronic disease management.
Her consulting hours are mostly between 9am and 3pm, however a few appointments outside these hours are available on certain days.

Dr Deepak Dubey
GP Registrar, MBBS
Dr Deepak Dubey graduated in 2007 and has extensive experience in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and General Practice. He is currently practising as a GP Registrar and is working towards Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
Dr Dubey holds a Children's Health Diploma accredited by the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network.

Dr Dubey is passionate about preventive healthcare and patient education, helping patients achieve better long-term health outcomes through evidence-based care and informed decision-making.

dR mANU jAYAPRASAD
GP Registrar, MBBS, MPH
Dr Manu Jayaprasad completed his medical degree in India in 2012 before moving to Australia in 2013, where he went on to earn a Master’s in Public Health. He has worked extensively in hospital settings with a strong focus on Emergency Medicine and is currently completing extended skills training in this area.
Now undertaking Fellowship Training in General Practice through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), Dr Jayaprasad brings broad clinical experience and a patient-centred approach that empowers individuals to take ownership of their health. He is fluent in English, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil.
Geraldton has been home for the past four years, where he and his wife are raising their three children. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, reading, and exploring new interests including carpentry.

dR wAEL eLGAMAL
GP Registrar, MBBS, MSc, FRCSed
Dr Wael Elgamal is currently undertaking General Practice training in Australia, bringing with him extensive international experience in surgery. A Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, he completed his surgical training and gained his specialist qualification in 2010 before working for several years as a Consultant in Surgical Oncology and General Surgery overseas. He also served as a trainer in the Egyptian surgical fellowship program, mentoring junior surgeons and contributing to advanced surgical education.
Since relocating to Australia in 2022, Dr Elgamal has worked across multiple hospital settings, building broad clinical experience and a strong understanding of the Australian healthcare system. His transition into General Practice reflects his commitment to holistic, community-based care and his desire to form long-term relationships with patients.
With a solid foundation in procedural medicine, complex case management, and multidisciplinary care, Dr Elgamal brings a unique perspective to General Practice. He is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centred care across all stages of life.

dR dINA SHAABAN
GP Registrar, MBBS
Dr Shaaban has graduated overseas in 2004 and achieved her specialist qualification in 2010. She brings a wealth of clinical experience to her practice, having worked across a variety of Australian hospitals and developed a strong understanding of the Australian healthcare system. With extensive experience in mental health, Dr Shaaban provides thoughtful, compassionate, and holistic care.
Her areas of clinical interest include mental health, paediatrics, women’s health, and chronic disease management.
She speaks fluent English and Arabic, allowing her to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
She is dedicated to supporting her patients’ wellbeing through high-quality, patient-centred care at every stage of life.
